Festival di Sanremo 2018

A floral arch celebrates Italian music

Forty thousand flowers: white and red carnations, yellow buttercups and colorful magnolia leaves. The facade of the Ariston Theater for the first time in history was transformed into a giant rainbow of flowers that celebrated the great Italian song together with the public and all the guests and citizens of Sanremo.
The visual concept was conceived by the set designer Emanuela Trixie Zitowski, together with the host and artistic director of the edition, Claudio Baglioni.
Mara Verbena and the team of Piante e Fiori d'Italia and the Pianeta Fiore school of maestro Chicco Pastorino created it.
On each evening Michelle Hunziker wore and gave the singers a flower in their buttonhole linked to the hashtag #iosonoqui, to testify to everyone's commitment against violence against women.
On the final evening a unique event: each of the one thousand eight hundred spectators of the Ariston was given a flower to wear during the most important moment of the Festival.
