The Rosa Repubblica di San Marino is a new hybrid, it was christened on 1 June 2008 in the gardens of the Palazzo Pubblico of San Marino by Their Excellencies the Captains Regent, His Excellency Rosa Zafferani and His Excellency Federico Pedini Amati.

Its warm yellow color, edged with a carmine shade, seems to reproduce the colors of the sunsets that can be admired in summer when, climbing the towers, you turn your gaze to the horizon, or it seems to resemble those long fingers of Aurora that reverberate from the Adriatic to the peaks of the Titan in the winter dawns. Every day it gives its intriguing fruity, intense and persistent scent. Wanted by Mara Verbena and selected from 200 varieties hybridized by Nirp International, a world leader in the hybridization of Roses, the "Repubblica di San Marino" rose is a large-flowered bush rose (35 petals) with an elegant and elongated bud that blooms slowly, with blooming from May to the winter months, it has sunny colors and captivating shades.

After the baptism ceremony at the Palazzo Pubblico, Mara Verbena delivered the Rose to important Italian figures from the world of politics, culture and entertainment. David H. Thorne, American Ambassador to Rome, Vittorio Sgarbi, Giampaolo Morelli, Pietro Taricone, Letizia Moratti.

In 2008, Mara Verbena brought to San Marino a new hybrid of Rose, selected by Nirp International from 200 specimens to create an exclusive variety of the most beautiful and beloved flower, dedicated to the Republic of San Marino. Very fragrant and re-flowering from May to December, the Rose of San Marino has also become the basis from which completely natural liqueurs, creams, candles and air fresheners are born.
